Wat is de OIFE ?
De oife is een koepelorganisatie van alle europese oi-groepen. Niet europese groepen kunnen zich ook aansluiten als geassocieerde leden.

Het doel is:
• De belangen te behartigen van zijn leden op Europees vlak.
• Het verzamelen, publiseren en verspreiden van informatie over osteogenesis imperfecta.
• De problemen van oi bekent te maken aan nationale instellingen met de bedoeling dat personen met oi erkend worden, en zo opgenomen worden in de programma's van de nationale overheidsinstellingen.
• Het promoten van onderzoek naar de oorzaak van oi en het publiseren van bruikbare gegevens van dergelijk onderzoek.
• Het promoten van publieke bekendheid en van al de aspecten van oi.

What is the OIFE ?
The oife is an organisation which brings all the oi-groupes together on a European level. Also non-european oi-groupes can be associated members.

Its aims are:
• To represent the interests of its members at a European level.
• To collect, publish and exchange information on Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI).
• To represent the problems with OI to national or supranational organisations with the intention that they may be recognised and their treatment facilitated in programmes of public health.
• To promote research, surveys and investigations on the causes, treatments and effects of OI and publish the useful results of such research.
• To promote public awareness of all aspects of OI.
